The Team

Jilysa graduated from Lincoln Tech in 2015. She makes it her personal mission every day to ensure every patient is comfortable in the dental chair and prepared for procedures. She also sterilizes dental instruments, prepares work areas for patient treatment and assist Dr. Tufa during procedures, takes and processes X-rays, and assists our hygienists whenever possible. She enjoys getting to know patients and forming trusting relationships with them.

Outside of the office, she likes spending time with her daughter Laila, watch movies, organize her house, go to the gym and travel to see family members.

Judi is the longest tenured employee in the Acton Dental building where she worked since 1985 with two dentists before transitioning with Dr. Tufa. Suffice to say – everyone knows Judi. She is a certified dental assistant with great attention to detail and extensive experience in all aspects of dental assisting work. She has great sense of humor, great rapport with the patients and strives to give each patient the best experience possible.

In her free time, Judi enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, biking, gardening and relaxing with her friends.

I have been in the dental field for over 30 years. I was actually a patient in the first office I worked in. I had thought about going to dental school, but I was talked into getting on the job training as a dental receptionist. I love what I do and have grown with every office I have worked in. I get the greatest pleasure meeting the patients and getting to know them and their families through listening to their stories. Over the years, I have built a strong rapport with our patients and I am committed to have each and every patient enjoy their visit to our office and assist them with all scheduling, payments, and insurance needs. I look forward to continuing my career with Dr. Tufa and our awesome team. I take pride in being the face and the voice of our practice and I am looking forward to retire someday here.

When I am not working, I enjoy taking long walks with our dog Maya and spending time with my daughter Melissa and my son Scott, my four sisters and all my nieces and nephews.

I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for fifteen years. I attended Quinsigamond Community College after an honorable discharge from three years of active duty military service, where I graduated with honors. Since, it has been my passion to educate and treat my patients with kindness, compassion, and the most up to date information. I love to attend classes on anything health and dental related so I can be well versed and pass on as much info as I can.

When I am not practicing my “craft”, I am a dedicated mother of two beautiful children, a twenty-one year old daughter and a nine year old son. I spend my time with my significant other in the gym, reading, at the beach, and living my best life cooking healthy food, learning how to be a better person and how to help those around me. When I can I like to volunteer for those less fortunate, whether at food pantries, feeding homeless, or participating in races that give to a cause.

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to join this amazing team, as I have worked with Dr. Tufa and Jillian prior to Acton Smile Hub, I can honestly say how blessed I am to know such amazing and caring people. I can’t wait to serve here alongside them.

I have been in the dental field for over 13 years. I started off as a Dental Assistant and from there I went on to further my career and education by graduating from Mount Wachusett Community College for my Dental Hygienist degree. I am proud to say that I am one of the only two out of my entire class to get a 99% on my clinical national board exam. I look forward to helping others with their oral health and spreading as much information to my patients as possible.

While off the clock, I truly love spending time in the kitchen, cooking up anything and everything. Food gives me joy, solace and brings me back down to earth. My favorite activities include going to the beach, going for a run or hiking with my better half. I’m also into exploring and I hope to get better acquainted with travel.

If I had to write down everything I ever wanted in a job and in an office to work for, it would be this exact position and in this beautiful office. I couldn’t feel more lucky to have worked with Dr. Tufa in the past and to now again be here at Acton Smile Hub working alongside these brilliant and caring people. I’m happy to call this place my home.

Jillian works alongside Dr. Tufa and provides direct patient care in all dental specialties. OSHA accredited and CEREC trained, she also serves as the infection control officer for the practice, where she develops, implements and oversees infection control protocols and sterilization procedures for instruments and equipment. She graduated top of her class with a GPA 4.0 from Porter and Chester. With over 10 years of experience as dental assistant and outgoing personality, she enjoys developing a rapport with each person she meets, and ensures all patients have a positive experience and are treated with the care and compassion.

Jillian enjoys being a mom of three children and spending quality time with them, whether it is coaching soccer or staying in and playing board games. She has a soft spot for her two dogs that are as equally part of her family.

I became a dentist because I love interacting with people and help them look and feel healthier. Combining my expertise in dental health care and serving my community may perhaps be the ultimate dream come true. My hope is to make the office a home away from home and the staff and patients an extension of my family!

I was raised in Macedonia where I obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2006. I was in practice for few years, before I moved to the US in 2008. While living in Portland, Maine I had the pleasure of volunteering at a caring family dental practice and then a pediatric dental office. During this time, I also completed a Health Policy and Management Program at the University of Southern Maine.

My passion for dentistry took me on a path to license my degree at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. I received a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 2013. As a passionate and lifelong learner always striving for excellence, I enjoyed my time at BU as it gave me the opportunity to draw parallels of how different dental treatments are rendered in different parts of the world. I graduated with top honors in my class and received the Outstanding Achievement and Excellence in Patient and Practice Management Award as well as the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics.

To provide best care for my patients and stay abreast of all changes and technological advancements in dentistry, I became an active Spear Dental Study Club member and regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars. In addition, I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and an alumni member of the National Dental Honor Society. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to say I enjoy what I do, take great pride in my work and embrace any opportunity to become better.

I live here in Acton with my husband Kris and our eight-year old daughter Anabela. I love to spend time outdoors, whether gardening in our yard or going for a long walk. I try to stay active and enjoy biking, running, skiing, and snowboarding. In my free time, I like to cook for my family and friends.

I look forward to caring for each patient and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of fellow local residents.
