The Team

Jilysa graduated from Lincoln Tech in 2015. She makes it her personal mission every day to ensure every patient is comfortable in the dental chair and prepared for procedures. She also sterilizes dental instruments, prepares work areas for patient treatment and assist Dr. Tufa during procedures, takes and processes X-rays, and assists our hygienists whenever possible. She enjoys getting to know patients and forming trusting relationships with them.

Outside of the office, she likes spending time with her daughter Laila, watch movies, organize her house, go to the gym and travel to see family members.

Judi is the longest tenured employee in the Acton Dental building where she worked since 1985 with two dentists before transitioning with Dr. Tufa. Suffice to say – everyone knows Judi. She is a certified dental assistant with great attention to detail and extensive experience in all aspects of dental assisting work. She has great sense of humor, great rapport with the patients and strives to give each patient the best experience possible.

In her free time, Judi enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, biking, gardening and relaxing with her friends.

I have been in the dental field for over 30 years. I was actually a patient in the first office I worked in. I had thought about going to dental school, but I was talked into getting on the job training as a dental receptionist. I love what I do and have grown with every office I have worked in. I get the greatest pleasure meeting the patients and getting to know them and their families through listening to their stories. Over the years, I have built a strong rapport with our patients and I am committed to have each and every patient enjoy their visit to our office and assist them with all scheduling, payments, and insurance needs. I look forward to continuing my career with Dr. Tufa and our awesome team. I take pride in being the face and the voice of our practice and I am looking forward to retire someday here.

When I am not working, I enjoy taking long walks with our dog Maya and spending time with my daughter Melissa and my son Scott, my four sisters and all my nieces and nephews.

I have been in the dental field for over 13 years. I started off as a Dental Assistant and from there I went on to further my career and education by graduating from Mount Wachusett Community College for my Dental Hygienist degree. I am proud to say that I am one of the only two out of my entire class to get a 99% on my clinical national board exam. I look forward to helping others with their oral health and spreading as much information to my patients as possible.

While off the clock, I truly love spending time in the kitchen, cooking up anything and everything. Food gives me joy, solace and brings me back down to earth. My favorite activities include going to the beach, going for a run or hiking with my better half. I’m also into exploring and I hope to get better acquainted with travel.

If I had to write down everything I ever wanted in a job and in an office to work for, it would be this exact position and in this beautiful office. I couldn’t feel more lucky to have worked with Dr. Tufa in the past and to now again be here at Acton Smile Hub working alongside these brilliant and caring people. I’m happy to call this place my home.

I have been in the dental field for just about ten years. Graduating with a honors degree in an accelerated program for dental assisting, and learning on the job in a dental reception role. I strive to help my patients understand their treatment in place and dental insurance benefits.

I learn on the job and in life daily. My family and I enjoy our free time near the water, weather in our kayaks, fishing or enjoying the sun. I have many house plants and love my garden grown from seed each year. We also love weekends away and enjoying new adventures. Our cat Lucy rules our home, super spoiled, and snuggly.

I can’t wait to learn about the patients and my role in my new dental home.

I became a dentist because I love interacting with people and help them look and feel healthier. Combining my expertise in dental health care and serving my community may perhaps be the ultimate dream come true. My hope is to make Acton Smile Hub a home away from home and the staff and the patients an extension of my family!

I was raised in Macedonia where I obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2006. I was in practice for few years, before I moved to the US in 2008. While living in Portland, Maine I had the pleasure of volunteering at a caring family dental practice and then a pediatric dental office. During this time, I also completed a Health Policy and Management Program at the University of Southern Maine.

My passion for dentistry took me on a path to license my degree at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. I received a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree in 2013. As a passionate and lifelong learner always striving for excellence, I enjoyed my time at BU as it gave me the opportunity to draw parallels of how different dental treatments are rendered in different parts of the world. I graduated with top honors in my class and received the Outstanding Achievement and Excellence in Patient and Practice Management Award as well as the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics.

To provide best care for my patients and stay abreast of all changes and technological advancements in dentistry, I became an active Spear Dental Study Club member and regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars. In addition, I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and an alumni member of the National Dental Honor Society. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to say I enjoy what I do, take great pride in my work and embrace any opportunity to become better.

I live here in Acton with my husband Kris and our eight-year old daughter Anabela. I love to spend time outdoors, whether gardening in our yard or going for a long walk. I try to stay active and enjoy biking, running, skiing, and snowboarding. In my free time, I like to cook for my family and friends.

I look forward to caring for each patient and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of fellow local residents.
